The participants of current preparatory project fall into four categories:

  • Executive participants who carry out the work in one of the nine work packages.
  • Representatives of eight scientific networks in the realm of biodiversity. They occupy the 'science' seats in the preparatory project's Policy & Science Board.
  • Representatives of nineteen national governments. These are the 'policy' members of the Policy & Science Board.
  • External partners and contacts. These partners participate in one of the standing committees: the data Providers Platform, the Users Platform or the Science Technology Committee.
