The EVERSE project aims to create a framework for research software and code excellence, collaboratively designed and championed by research software engineering communities and the five EOSC cross-disciplinary Science Clusters.
The project pursues the development of a European network for Research Software Quality and lays the foundations for a future Virtual Institute for Research Software Excellence. EVERSE’s ultimate ambition is to contribute towards a cultural change where research software is recognised as a first-class citizen of the scientific process and the people that contribute to it are credited for their efforts.
The role of LifeWatch ERIC in the project is to establish a long-term framework for the training activities supported by EVERSE, including: a network of training coordinators, knowledge exchange workshops and a discovery series on best practices for research software quality.
