POSITION: Full-time, 12 months with the possibility of renewal on a yearly basis for a maximum of 36 months in total

The ERIC community and Horizon Europe mission areas

‘The ERIC community and Horizon Europe mission areas’ is a position paper handed over on 12 June 2020 by the ERIC Forum chair John Womersley to Johannes Klumpers, Head of the Research and Infrastructures Unit at the European Commission. It details how European Research Infrastructure Consortia are united in their vison to carry out programmes that contribute to the development of a variety of scientific and technological fields, strengthening Europe’s global position in research and innovation, and improving the life of all European citizens. Of the five Mission Areas identified in the position paper, LifeWatch ERIC contributes to four:

• Adaptation to climate change including societal transformation

• Healthy oceans, seas, coastal and inland waters

• Climate-neutral and smart cities, and

• Soil health and food.

LifeWatch ERIC is party to ERIC Forum governance, with its CTO Juan Miguel González-Aranda sitting on the ERIC Forum Executive Board, and is a partner of the related Horizon 2020 project. Click here for the complete position paper.
